Our approach

Bouncer asks for the minimum information it needs. The app does not use an account, and your app use and behavior data stay on your iPhone. If you join the waitlist, we store your email address so we can send one launch notification.

This policy explains what we collect, why we use it, who processes it for us, and how you can ask us to remove it.

What we collect

Waitlist. When you join, we store your normalized email address and the time you submitted it. We use this information only to manage the list and send one email when Bouncer launches.

Messages. If you email us, we receive your address and the information in your message so we can reply.

Technical requests. Cloudflare may process standard request information, such as an IP address, browser details, request time, and security signals, to deliver and protect the website. Bouncer does not use this information for advertising.

What stays on your iPhone

Bouncer uses Apple Screen Time APIs to apply the rules you set and show your report. Your rules, Screen Time selections, app-use figures, and behavior records are processed on your device. Bouncer does not send that information to us.

The app does not use an account. We do not use your app activity for advertising, and we do not sell it.

Purchases

When the app becomes available, Apple and specialist billing or paywall providers may process purchase receipts, subscription status, and the technical identifiers needed to provide those services. Apple handles payment details, so Bouncer does not receive your card number or billing address.

These providers do not receive your Screen Time usage or behavior data from Bouncer.

Who processes information for us

Cloudflare hosts the website, protects it, and stores the waitlist database. Our email provider processes messages that you send us and the launch notification. Apple and billing providers will process purchases and subscription status when the app becomes available.

Each provider receives only the information needed for its service and handles it under its own privacy terms. We do not sell or rent your personal information.

How long we keep information

We keep your waitlist record until we send the launch notification, or until you ask us to remove it. We keep support messages only as long as needed to reply, maintain a useful record, or meet a legal obligation.

Information stored by the app stays on your device until you remove it through the app, delete the app, or erase the relevant device data. Apple and other providers keep their records under their own policies and legal duties.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the limited information we hold. No internet service or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or remove your waitlist email address or a message you sent us. Depending on where you live, you may have other rights over your personal information.

Send a request from the relevant email address to hello@thebouncerapp.com. We do not charge you or treat you differently for making a privacy request.

International processing

Our providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live. Where required, they use safeguards intended to protect information during those transfers.

Changes to this policy

We will update this policy when the website, app, or our data practices change. The effective date at the top shows the current version. If a change materially affects how we use information already collected, we will provide reasonable notice.
